Fiber art is a new mode of expression for Meryl, who in the past primarily painted on canvas and board. This form of mixed media combines her love of color, and texture with her desire to construct assemblages. In her works she has meshed her
German Expressionist, and Fauvist influences, with her passion for narrative story to develop her unique fiber art.
